Abrasive wheels training is a legal requirement for anyone involved in the purchase and selection; storage and handling; mounting; dressing and use of abrasive wheels; whether they are fixed or portable.

• Examination and test of abrasive wheels
• Storage
• Handling
• Speeds of spindles
• Mounting
• Guards
• Wheel selection
• Work rests
• Misuse of wheels
• Truing and dressing
• Eye protection
• Training and appointment of people to mount wheels

Maximum number of participants : 10

Duration : 3.5 hours

Certificate : Valid for 3 years

To ensure that on completion of the course the participants will:

• Understand the risks involved in using abrasive wheels
• Select correct wheel and mount
• Recognise damaged wheels
• Safely store abrasive wheels
